The Rest Of Your Life

It’s the way you look at me,

Like you’re watching a beautiful sunset,

By the beach,

In Diani,

Eating hot dogs with a glass of Asconi Pastoral.

While the wind cools your broth.

There’s something about how you look at me.

It makes me feel different in your eyes.

Give me you for the rest of your life.

The way you smile at me,

When I’m talking,

Touches my gentle vessels beneath.

It’s the second best thing you do with your lips.

I don’t know if you know how easily your smile lines make me smile.

’cause if you did,

Then I wouldn’t be here rolling my eyes,

I’d there having you for the rest of your life.

It’s the way you laugh with me;

This ain’t the Shakespeare’s parrot laughter.

This one’s long, lively, hearty and intentional,

Like a happy fountain in a cave.

Feels like watching a feel good comedy.

The old Charlie Chaplin kind.

Let me tickle your funny bones,

For the rest of your life.
